Op. Dr. Fatih TURAN ENT Clinic ("Our Clinic") respects your privacy and prioritizes the security of your data. In accordance with the Law on the Protection of Personal Data No. 6698 (“Law” or “KVKK”) and related legislation, this information text has been prepared to inform and enlighten you.

General Information

The Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 was adopted on March 24, 2016 and entered into force after being published in the Official Gazette on April 7, 2016. Articles 8, 9, 11, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, and 18 of the Law came into force as of October 7, 2016.

The Law was enacted to protect the fundamental rights and freedoms of individuals, particularly the right to privacy in the processing of personal data, and to regulate the obligations and principles to be followed by natural and legal persons who process personal data.

This text is prepared to inform and enlighten patients and visitors of our clinic.

Our clinic only processes the name, email address, home and work addresses, phone number, and other personal data that you provide via forms on this site or through our patient registration desk, within the scope and limits stated in this text and, if applicable, your explicit consent.


DEFINITIONS

  • Explicit Consent: Freely given, specific, informed consent regarding a particular subject.

  • Clinic / ENT Clinic: Refers to the practice of Op. Dr. FATİH TURAN at İstiklal Mh. Safrancık Sk. No:21 D:1/A Serdivan/Sakarya.

  • Patient: The individual receiving products or services, here referred to technically as the "data subject".

  • Authority: Personal Data Protection Authority.

  • Board: Personal Data Protection Board.

PURPOSES OF PROCESSING YOUR DATA

Your personal data is processed for the following reasons, among others:

TYPES OF PERSONAL DATA PROCESSED

  • Identity Data: Name, surname, national ID number, birth data, etc.

  • Contact Data: Phone number, address, email, etc.

  • Financial Data: Bank and card information.

  • Digital Data: CCTV footage within clinic premises.

  • Medical Data: Diagnosis, treatments, test results, imaging, prescriptions, photographs taken for treatment documentation.


DATA TRANSFER

  • Ministry of Health and affiliated institutions

  • Law enforcement and judicial authorities

  • Insurance companies

METHOD AND LEGAL BASIS FOR DATA COLLECTION

  • Doctor appointment platforms (e.g., www.doktortakvimi.com)

  • Security camera systems

  • Communication with clinic staff

The processing is based on one or more of the legal bases listed in Article 5 and 6 of the Law, including:

  • Your explicit consent

  • Fulfilling contractual obligations

  • Legal requirements

  • Protecting vital interests

  • Legitimate interests of the data controller, etc.

Special categories of personal data (e.g., health data) are processed based on your explicit consent or other lawful grounds listed under KVKK Article 6.


RIGHTS OF DATA SUBJECTS UNDER ARTICLE 11 OF KVKK

As a data subject, you have the right to:

  • Learn if your personal data is being processed.

  • Request information regarding the processing.

  • Learn the purpose of processing and whether data is used accordingly.

  • Know the third parties to whom personal data is transferred.

  • Request correction or deletion of incorrect or outdated data.

  • Object to decisions made solely based on automated processing.

  • Demand compensation for damages arising from unlawful processing.

Applications will be processed within 30 days as per Article 13/2 of the KVKK. If your request requires costs (e.g., print, CD), fees may apply as per regulations.
